TEAMS & ORGANISATIONS
For teams & organisations.
Work together, build up knowledge and communicate outwards – without spreading every part of the organisation across another platform.
The problem
Inside and outside grow into two digital worlds.
Facing inwards: chat, meetings, knowledge, documents.
Facing outwards: website, social media, content, community.
The same people maintain both sides, content gets copied between them, and the connection survives in neither.
What somsorium makes of it
One system, with a boundary you draw yourselves.
The internal working space and the public face belong to the same system.
You decide what stays internal and what gets published — not two separate platforms with someone copying between them.
Who we mean
Organisations are not all alike.
What they have in common: they have long been working digitally, with tools they do not own and that can change at any time.
Small and medium-sized businesses
Internal communication and working knowledge in one place, without handing every file over to an outside service.
Associations
Organise members, groups and events — and decide for yourselves what is publicly visible.
Umbrella bodies
Several branches that work separately and should still be connected, without merging everything into one.
Research groups
Record the experimental set-up, the measurements and the analysis so that others can follow the experiment. More on this under Research & Education.
Education providers
Working with tools you can open up and explain — instead of a black box.
Distributed teams
Chats, forums, meetings and shared working spaces, even when nobody sits in the same place.
What you put to use
Not every organisation needs every module.
Each part works on its own. Most start with mesorium and add the rest only where it is needed.
mesorium — the connecting platform
Groups, chats, forums, meetings and shared working spaces, plus profiles, feeds, audio, video and public content. Internally, what should stay private stays private.
smolit — the AI and agent layer
Runs on your infrastructure, uses tools only within the permissions you give it, and writes down what it does.
smolit node — local infrastructure
The local home for the services, if you want to run them on your own network. Optional, not a requirement.
laborium — where the measuring happens
For organisations doing research, measurement or development: connects experimental set-up, measurement data, instruments and documentation.
Why this counts for you
The decisions stay with you.
Where the data sits
The software can run on your own infrastructure. Hosted services run on German hosting providers.
What goes outwards
Every action that changes something or leaves the house needs an approval — and is written down.
What can be checked
The programs are being published under open licences. Anyone who wants to look closely should be able to.
Where we stand
What you would be taking on.
- The building blocks are at different stages. smolit stands as a release candidate; mesorium and laborium are in the middle of development.
- mesorium has no public read access yet — someone who is not a member sees nothing.
- The audit view is missing. Actions are written down, but not searchable yet.
- There is no supported organisation pilot yet. We are preparing the first ones now.
Waitlist
Be in early with your organisation.
Our first test circle is meant to be up to 5 organisations and 500 individuals. We are not handing out places directly yet. Sign up if you would like us to get in touch once places open.
The waitlist is non-binding and not a guarantee of access.
